Context for Sharjah

A dense base of light manufacturing, trading and SMEs. Many businesses here still invoice on paper or PDF, which makes the change of habit — not the technology — the harder part of the transition.

Notable free zones

Free-zone businesses are not automatically exempt — any business issuing B2B or B2G invoices is in scope regardless of whether it sits in a free zone.
