Frequently asked questions
What is mandatory e-invoicing in the UAE?
A national framework requiring businesses to issue and receive invoices in a structured digital format (PINT AE, based on Peppol) through accredited service providers, with invoice data reported to the Federal Tax Authority. The goal: eliminating paper and unstructured PDF invoices in B2B and B2G transactions.
Who must comply and when?
Per Ministerial Decisions 243 and 244 of 2025 as amended: large businesses (AED 50M+) appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026 (extended from 31 July 2026) and go live 1 January 2027; everyone else appoints by 31 March 2027 and goes live 1 July 2027; government entities comply by 1 October 2027. Check the Ministry of Finance website for updates.
What is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP)?
A technology company officially accredited by the Ministry of Finance to transmit invoices over the Peppol network, validate them, and report data to authorities. You cannot e-invoice without contracting one. The Ministry publishes an official list with an accreditation number per provider (67 fully accredited and 3 under final assessment on 16 October 2026) — verify the number on mof.gov.ae before contracting; our directory filters them for you.
What is the Incoming Invoice Control Centre?
A free tool that turns the XML invoices your suppliers send into a readable table: it checks each one against the format rules, matches it to your purchase orders to surface amount variances and duplicate billing, runs an approval-to-payment cycle, and warns you before due dates. It runs entirely in your browser and never uploads your invoices.
Is this tool a replacement for an ASP?
No. We are the supporting layer: we help you understand your position, find gaps in your data, and choose the right provider — before you pay a single dirham. Official transmission happens only via an accredited provider.
Is the XML check here an official validation?
No, it's a preliminary indicative check of key fields and arithmetic consistency, running entirely in your browser. Full official validation (~150 fields plus business rules) happens via your ASP.
How much does getting ready cost?
It varies by size and systems. Joining our early list gets you a free readiness guide and provider price comparison when available — provider offers currently vary widely, and comparing can save you thousands of dirhams a year.
